About our data collection policyYou are here: Aurionix FileUsage > About Aurionix.com > About our data collection policy In this section: Where/Why might we collect data?We are highly quality-orientated. We expect the best from our
suppliers and we know our customers expect the best from us.
Modern software is highly complex and impossible to test
thoroughly in every conceivable way and consequently users
occaisonally experience errors. When this happens, our
quality ambition means that we want to know about the
user's experiences - we want to know what made the
software stop working so that we can put it right.
If our software does stop working properly, it will ask
the user if it can be allowed to report information about
the fault back to us over the internet so that we can fix
it as quickly as possible.
We do not collect data from your machine in any other way
or from any other place or for any other reason.
What data do we collect? We do not collect any personal information about the user. The only information we collect is:- (1) where in the software's
instructions did it reach an unexpected result and (2) what data
values led up to this result (e.g. a bad date possibly
entered in response to a previous question to the user).
It is remotely possible that our software may accidentally
send us data which could be used to personally
identify an individual user or their circumstances. Even
if this did happen, we delete such data from our system
and do not use or even keep it.
Whenever our software asks the user if it can submit
a report to us, the software will also offer to show
the user the contents of the report. The user can
always say "no".
Still concerned? If you're still worried, please use the "Ask a question"
link on the right of this page.
