The Month of Tebet in the Bible

The tenth month in the Jewish spiritual calendar isn't named in the Bible. In the civil or financial calendar it is the fourth month and is named Tebet. In a typical year there are twenty-nine days in this month. In the Gregorian (Western) calendar it corresponds to the period from the middle of December to the middle of January. It is the time of deep Winter when Esther was chosen and brought into the royal house of Ahasuerus (probably Darius the Persian).
