How to Copy Multiple Verses and Paragraphs to the Clipboard

Only the King James Version (and your notes) can be copied at this time. Use the Feedback section of the app to ask for anything you need that the app doesn't currently do. We use Feedback to control the priority of the work in our continuous updates.

Quickly copying one verse

You'll need to be reading a Bible passage before following these steps. After following these steps you can switch to your other app and paste the content in.

Using a keyboard and mouse to quickly copy one verse

  1. Click on the verse with your left mouse button, or use the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard to select the verse. Either way, the verse should show a coloured background to indicate that it is selected.

  2. If you have a keyboard, press Ctrl+C. Alternatively, with a mouse click the ellipsis menu in the bottom-right corner and choose “Copy selected paragraph(s) to clipboard”.

Using a touchscreen or a pen to quickly copy one verse

  1. Tap on the number next to the verse you want to copy, with either your finger or the pen. The verse should show a coloured background to indicate that it is selected.

  2. Tap the ellipsis menu in the bottom-right corner and choose “Copy selected paragraph(s) to clipboard”.

Copying multiple verses

Using a keyboard and mouse to quickly copy multiple verses

  1. Ctrl+Click on the number of the first verse you would like to copy (hold down the Ctrl key and click with the left mouse button). A circle will appear next to every verse.

  4. If you have a keyboard, press Ctrl+C. Alternatively click “Copy selected paragraphs to clipboard” in the command ribbon at the bottom of the page. The circles will disappear and the verses will be copied to the clipboard.

  5. To exit without copying, click “Clear selection” in the command ribbon at the bottom of the page.

  2. Tap on the circle next to each verse (or note) that you would like to copy. A filled circle means that paragraph will be copied. An empty circle means it will not.

  3. You can select a large block of verses in one go by holding down Shift and tapping on the last verse in the block if you also have a keyboard.

  4. Tap “Copy selected paragraphs to clipboard” in the command ribbon at the bottom of the page. The circles will disappear and the verses will be copied to the clipboard.

  5. To exit without copying, tap “Clear selection” in the command ribbon at the bottom of the page.

You're done!

When the verses have been copied to the clipboard, any selection will be cleared. You can then paste the content into your next app.
