The Month of Tammuz in the Bible

The fourth month in the Jewish spiritual calendar isn't named in the Bible. In the civil or financial calendar it is the tenth month and is named Tammuz. In a typical year there are twenty-nine days in this month. In the Gregorian (Western) calendar it corresponds to the period from the middle of June to the middle of July. It is the time when the first grape harvest is expected to be ready. Nebuchadnezzar finished his seige of Jersualem in this month and took the city.
